Après une très bonne seconde démos "Kebabized At Birth" sur fond de ketchup, youpi, voilou le retour de nos nantais préférés avec un premier album remplis d'effets spéciaux fait à la bouche, de blaguounettes débiles, de gros riffs bien gras et d'une batterie qui tabasse Mike Tyson... M. Patate qu'il s'appelle l'album, qu'il a 21 titres euh non 22 avec sa piste cachée qui parodie Max et Cie, qu'il comprend 5 titres de la deuxième démo réarrangés et remasterisés comme les mythiques "Captain Igloo" et "Phoned To Death", qu'il fait moins de 27 minutes, qu'il y a des poils pubiens dedans et qu'il fait peur avec ses fantômes !
Bref, cet album est dans la droite lignée de la démo pratiquant toujours ce fameux Grind/Death groovy mais avec un côté plus sérieux par le fait que les compos sont très carrées et bénéficient d'un gros son mais elles ne perdent en rien leur penchant pour les déviances débilo-crétines ! Notons les bonnes idées de reprise "People = Frites" et de "I Like To Vomit" avec leur titre assez parlant pour que vous compreniez par vous-mêmes qui ils pastichent.
Alors, comme j’en ai marre d’entendre toujours la même chose à savoir : « ah oui, Ultra Vomit c’est pareil que Gronibard, non ?! », je dirai simplement que ce n'est pas le même genre de délire, disons juste pour la comparaison qu'ils ont tous les deux un son énorme qui fracasse sa mémé, point barre.
Attention, là ça ne rigole pas, Ultra Vomit se la joue grosse production et nous met une piste multimédia avec un tas de vidéos, une sorte de making-off... Une bonne poilade est garantie sur leurs vidéos surtout sur les voix de Fetus et sur le bordel ensanglanté dans les chiottes !
Je dois tout de même avouer que je n'ai pas autant été surpris que par la démo à l’époque et que j'ai souris mais ne me suis pas franchement poilé comme une grosse baleine alors soit c'est dù à une certaine lassitude du genre ou tout simplement suis-je peut-être devenu un vieux con entre temps (ça doit être ça!).
Si tu aimes le gros son avec des riffs et des voix qui font peur, que tu aimes l'humour 4-8 ans et que tu n'es pas un vieux con comme moi, ce disque est pour toi, vas-y monte le son et régale toi !
