Nous voici donc devant la démo du premier album de PRIME SINISTER depuis que le groupe s’est débarrassé d’Olivier (chanteur d’UNDERCOVER SLUT). Pills est donc passé au chant mais a conservé sa place à la guitare. Les deux autres membres du groupe, 96 et Fuse n’ont, eux, pas changé d’instrument, restant à la basse pour le premier et à la batterie pour le second. Au premier abord, on sent que le son est beaucoup plus lourd, plus puissant que celui d’UNDERCOVER SLUT. Les morceaux font penser à MINISTRY de par le côté très poussé du Metal Industriel mais tout en se détachant de la formation de Al Jourgensen (chanteur de MINISTRY). PRIME SINISTER apporte une dimension quelque peu différente dans le sens où le son a beau être aussi dur pour nos cerveaux mais rien n’est répétitif à outrance.
Certes cet EP ne comporte que quatre titres mais ils sont très bien développés, aucune note ne peut être prise pour du remplissage. Chaque morceau se détache l’un de l’autre de par ce côté unique qui compose cet EP. En ce qui concerne le son, il est extrêmement bon. Les titres en eux-mêmes témoignent bien de l’état d’esprit que les musiciens veulent donner à leur musique (ex : « In Guns We Trust »), autant que le titre de leur album : United In Violence. Notons au passage que United In Violence a été enregistré et mixé par Pills (chant et guitare) et qu’il a été produit par PRIME SINISTER. Le groupe semble donc très impliqué dans ce qu’il fait, encore plus que dans leur ancienne formation avec Olivier.
Les français ne parviennent en général pas à se détacher des groupes d’autres pays dans le milieu Metal mais il ne fait aucun doute que PRIME SINISTER réussira très facilement à se faire un grand nom. Nous pouvons souhaiter au groupe d’être encore plus populaire qu’il ne l’est actuellement. Le Metal Industriel des musiciens est développé, novateur et bon à écouter pour tous les fans de ce style de Metal. Ce groupe est au final très prometteur. Nous attendons avec impatience le premier album qui résultera de tout cela !
