Ce qu’il y a de bien avec ce genre de groupe, c’est que l’on sait tout de suite ce à quoi l’on va avoir droit.
Car, en arborant un nom aussi délicat et raffiné que PROSTITUTE DISFIGUREMENT, on se doute bien qu’il ne s’agit pas là d’un groupe de Glam Rock ou de Pop anglaise!
Projet lancé en 2000 sous le nom de DISFIGURE, les Bataves en sont à leur troisième production avec ce Left In Grisly Fashion. Ils ont auparavant sorti Embalmed Madness en 2001 suivi de Deeds Of Derangement deux ans plus tard.
Groupe tournant sur la scène Hollandaise depuis un petit moment et sortant son troisième album, je me disais que cela devait valoir quelque chose cette affaire là !
Musicalement, bon, je vous le dis tout de suite, c’est pas mal du tout ! C’est pas génial, ils ont tous bien compris et bien fais leurs devoirs, les parties techniques sont apprises et récitées par cœur. Adeptes de blasts-beats, régalez-vous, vous y aurez droit pendant 29 minutes sur la demi-heure de durée du disque ! De même que les guitares nous offrent de belles envolées solistiques, presque deux minutes sur l’ensemble du disque ! Un exploit !
Bien évidemment, les paroles Gore sont toujours d’actualité, eu égard à la pochette et aux titres des morceaux ici présents : « Body To Ravage », « Disemboweled », « Freaking On The Mutilated » etc…
Par contre la où réside la particularité du groupe, c’est que le beugleur du combo, Niels, a comment dire, une façon particulière d’éructer ses textes. Ses cris porcins sont à première écoute originaux car je n’en ai jamais entendus de pareils. Merci les effets vocaux ! Les growls de Porcinet sont donc marrants le temps de deux voire trois titres mais ils deviennent très vite lassants et au final, font plus rire qu’autre chose.
Effectivement, d’après moi, le meuglement atroce puisque trop amplifié et exagéré réduit à néant le travail des musiciens car les compositions sont loin d’être mauvaises. Dommage !
Mais, quelle franche partie de rigolade ! Rien que pour cela, il faut jeter une oreille (de porc ?) à cette galette ! Rien que pour cela, ce skeud mérite aussi la moyenne tellement j’ai ri.
Merci PROSTITUTE DISFIGUREMENT et surtout merci Niels ! Un album solo peut-être, histoire de nous gratifier de ce talent vocal hors du commun ?
