INFERNAL EXECRATOR (sg) - Antichrist Execration (2008)

Pulverised Records a changé de stratégie et décide au lieu de signer n’importe quels groupes obscurs de qualité douteuse venant des pays scandinaves, le label de Singapour cherche ce qu’il y a de mieux dans son propre pays. Après avoir récupéré dans son écurie le grand IMPIETY, le label vient de signer un groupe de Black/Thrash au nom bien explicite : INFERNAL EXECRATOR !
Formé en 2005, ce groupe singapourien a sorti une démo en 2006 intitulée : Thy Demonization Conquers qui a été remarqué et lui permet aujourd’hui de sorti son premier MCD : Antichrist Execration composé de 6 titres.
Même si les influences d’IMPIETY sont inéluctables, INFERNAL EXECRATOR est beaucoup moins fou que son illustre ainé : il se rapproche d’avantage d’un DESTROYER 666 ou d’un ANGEL CORPSE sous amphétamine. Le Black d’INFERNAL EXECRATOR est très orienté Thrash, mais en plus malsain et en plus sombre. Doté d’un artwork de qualité faisant penser à BEHERIT ou BESTIAL MOCKERY, ce premier enregistrement officiel du groupe ne demande qu’à se faire connaitre.
Il faut dire que les 6 titres de ce Antichrist Execration sont d’une qualité très prometteuse, même si je trouve un peu dommage que le groupe ai décidé d’inclure une reprise dispensable de (toujours) IMPIETY avec le titre : « Sodomythical Frostgoats » extrait de l’album Skullfucking Armageddon. Cela donne une impression de produit du terroir régional.
Ce premier MCD est donc un bon cru, de bons espoirs sont placés sur ce nouveau groupe, et Pulverised Records s’est rendu compte qu’il n’est pas obligé d’aller à l’autre bout du monde pour trouver des combos de qualités !
A peine le temps de finir cette chronique que le groupe a déjà sorti un split CD limité à 66 exemplaires (!!) avec IMERIAL TYRANTS qui reprend les titres de sa démo.
