Qu’il est bon de voir que certains groupes de grind travaillent encore leur produit avant de le balancer sur le marché, telle une paire de godasses tendance ! Le style extrême permettant toutes les audaces mais aussi toutes les fumisteries, il parait évident que nombre de combos choisissent cette option par manque de créativité ou de pratique musicale.
Tel n’est pas du tout le cas de TFD. Avec un ancien BRUTAL TRUTH comme tête pensante, il ne pouvait évidemment en être autrement. L’exil forcé de Rich Hoak après le naufrage de son navire aura été plus que bénéfique. Il lui a permis de pousser le concert encore plus loin, et de proposer ce qui pourrait être assimilé au free-jazz du grind-core. La même impression surnage de ce disque que lorsque l’on écoute un album d’Ornette Coleman par exemple. On a l’impression d’un joyeux foutoir, mais il n’en est rien. Avec une attention particulière, on remarque tout de suite que les zicos savent parfaitement où ils vont. C’est tout sauf du bordel. Et c’est pour ça que ça reste de l’extraordinaire grind. Sans pour autant négliger des textes dans la plus pure anarcho-tradition, ou d’autres remplis d’humour («We Are All Elvis Now » est une vraie petite perle d’ironie réaliste !).
14 Titres, une cohésion parfaite.10 titres de pure haine sonore, et puis, comme ça, 4 titres acoustiques, et ça n’est pas du remplissage, les morceaux en question sont monstrueux ! Très jazzy d’ailleurs, ce qui prouve une fois de plus que l’on a affaire à de vrais amoureux du genre, et pas des opportunistes.
La partie rom est pleine de saveur, avec pas moins de 9 titres lives, pour une durée totale de 11 minutes (regardez bien Rich au drums, c’est un furieux de chez furieux, et pourtant il joue sur un kit de nain !!).
Alors je ne saurais trop vous conseiller d’acheter cet album immédiatement, sous peine de ne rien comprendre à la suite des événements.
TFD est grand, très grand. Peut être le meilleur groupe de grind actuel.
