La Pologne a toujours été une terre d'asile pour le gros Death qui tâche mais pour Shadows Land il faut appréhender leur musique de manière différente.
Ces Polonais qui œuvre dans un Brutal Death, propose avec ce premier album, quelque chose de frais et novateur. Tantôt Death, puis Black mais aussi Thrash, "Ante Christum (natum)" à tout pour ravir les amateurs de sensations fortes. Les compositions sont extrêmement alambiquées, les changements de tempos fréquent ainsi que de nombreux breaks. On pourrait qualifier la musique de Shadows Land d'avant-gardiste pour ce style sans pour autant perturber l'auditeur dans ces habitudes. Techniquement parlant et devant la complexité des titres, la maîtrise instrumentale est proprement hallucinante.
Une reprise de Mayhem "Pagan Fears" clôture cet excellent album. Shadows Land, pour sa première livraison frappe un grand coup, sonnant comme une bouffée d'air frais dans un style trop souvent figée.
