Si AEROSMITH était né à la fin des années 80 et avait pris une orientation plus Hard, ça s’appellerait TESLA. On y retrouve le même goût du rock’n roll sans tricherie, des mélodies mortelles, et puis le chant… comment ne pas trouver certaines similitudes. Injustement catalogué parmi les groupes de glam, TESLA n’a pas joui et France de la même notoriété qu’aux USA (à l’époque on préférait Desireless !).
Le dernier né du groupe est tout à fait à la hauteur de ses prédécesseurs, le concept simplissime n’ayant pas pris une ride. Les titres s’égrainent avec beaucoup de plaisir et l’album file à toute vitesse, l’heure d’écoute étant clairement trop courte (même la ballade finale est réussie). Au pire regrette t’on l’absence d’un titre culte comme le furent “Freedom Slaves”, “Modern Day Cowboys” ou “EZ Come EZ Go”.
Après le concert de retrouvailles, on souhaite que la reformation soit durable et qu’elle nous apporte prochainement quelques albums de cette qualité.
