Depuis qu’il a tiré sa révérence et annoncé que l’aventure MINISTY était terminée, il semble qu’on n’aura jamais autant vu Al Jourgensen à droite et à gauche. Que ce soit dans des projets comme REVOLTING COCKS ou bien encore les CO-CONSPIRATORS, il nous sort un album sur lequel il apparaît aussi souvent que certains changent de calbute (ce qui donne quelque chose de rapide pour l’un et de pas très sérieux pour les autres). Ici, le sieur Jourgensen signe la BO du film Wicked Lake, un film gore à gros nibards avec sorcières lesbiennes en prime. Mais plutôt que de se casser la tête à composer de nouveaux morceaux pour le film, il puise dans son label pour concocter un disque très Indus mais qui laisse comme un goût d’inachevé. En effet, pas de grande révolution sur cette galette. Certes, ceux qui se procureront cet album n’auront peut-être pas tous les autres d’où sont tirés les titres. Mais quand même, cela donne l’impression de ne pas trop vouloir se fouler. Ok, on a quand même droit à du bon dans tout ça, le récent FALSE ICONS, ou encore PRONG et MINISTRY. De quoi s’en mettre plein les esgourdes. On remarquera aussi la présence de MESHUGGAH, une bonne surprise. S’il y a du bon (MESHUGGAH, FALSE ICONS, PRONG), on a aussi le droit à du moins percutant (ASCENSION OF THE WATCHERS) qui pourtant s’éternise. J’avoue que, personnellement, j’aurais plus tendance à aller écouter les albums dont sont issus les morceaux, histoire d’avoir une bonne dose à me mettre dans les veines. Après, chacun voit comment il le sent. Mais ce disque fait un peu office de leurre ; comme si tu t’attendais à un Transformers pour ton anniversaire et qu’on t’offrait un Gobots à la place. Pas mauvais en soi, mais plus placebo que réelle pilule euphorisante.
