Originaire de Toulouse, NOLENTIA est un trio infernal qui a vu le jour en février 2007. 3 mois seulement après leur formation, le groupe se retrouvait déjà sur scène ! Comme le nom de cette démo l’indique : Sell Your Soul To Grind’n Roll ! le groupe revendique ses influences auprès de la scène Grind / Death / Hardcore où NAPALM DEATH, BRUTAL TRUTH sont ces principales références.
Vous l’avez donc compris, cette première demo est une déflagration sonore, genre bombe qui explose littéralement toutes les pauvres enceintes qui osent diffuser leur musique ! Le coté sans fioritures, recherchant sans cesse l’efficacité et le coté son cru, crade et direct peuvent faire penser également à du ENTOMBED puissance 10 !
Tout au long des 6 titres de cet enregistrement, ça blast, ça bourrine, ça crie, ça hurle, ça couine… il n’y a aucun temps mort c'est ultra sauvage et le groove est toujours présent! Les voix oscillent entre hurlements et growls gutturaux, extrêmement efficace et qui donnent une put** de violence. Cette première galette est remplie d’un peu moins de 15 minutes d’intensité non-stop même si un léger passage sur « Blindness Substituted » peu paraître calme !
NOLENTIA envoie la patate sans se soucier de ce qui pourra arriver, et en gardant un petit coté original malgré les habituels envois direct in-your-face de blasts accentuant le coté chaotique du genre. Après plusieurs écoute, il est impossible de dire que Sell Your Soul To Grind’n Roll !, la première Demo du groupe est du Grind/Core classique tant la spontanéité des titres fait plaisir à entendre !
