Je ne vais pas faire ou recopier la bio du groupe car pour cela vous pouvez aller sur leur site indiqué en bas de cette chronique. Je dirai juste qu'après moult péripéties, Tales Of Blood a véritablement commencé son existence en l'an 2000 dans le sud de Paris.
Côté musique, Tales Of Blood ne se revendique pas d'une grande finesse ou nouveauté et il a parfaitement raison. Il fait dans le déjà vu avec ses riffs lourds et gras, ses vocaux caverneux (un des points positifs de la démo) et ses mid-tempo. En somme, Tales Of Blood nous livre une galette (de plus) fourrée d'un sobre Death Metal Old-School. L'ensemble est un brin répétitif, un peu plat et manque parfois de bonnes accélarations ou autres envolées percutantes...
Le son et le mix sont à revoir pour la prochaine production du groupe surtout côté batterie mais le tout reste très audible et de bonne facture pour une démo. Il faut tout de même noter la bonne qualité de l'artwork et du CD, ce qui change des habituels CD-r...
En définitive, je n'ai pas eu le petit déclic ou autre truc à l'écoute de ce scud mais il faut tout de même reconnaitre que les idées sont là et que dans son domaine, Tales Of Blood s'en sort pas mal. Un groupe à suivre et à soutenir malgré tout.
