Voilà 15 ans que RUNNING WILD nous sert ses riffs primaires et ses refrains basiques, on ne va tout de même pas se plaindre maintenant ! Il faut dire que cela fait un certain temps que “Rock’n Rolf ” Kasparek est seul aux commandes de son groupe, et cette dictature est peu propice à l’ouverture vers de nouveaux styles ou, tout simplement, de nouvelles inspirations.
Comme les précédents, cet album remplit son contrat en nous fournissant notre lot de bonnes vieilles guitares, de rythmiques lourdes et rapides. Les habitués ne seront pas décontenancés, ils ne seront pas non plus déçus car ce Rogues En Vogue renferme quelques bons titres comme “Angel Of Mercy”, “Draw The Line” ou encore “Born Bad, Dying Worse” tous dans la plus pure tradition du Power Metal à la RUNNING WILD.
Il ne s’agit toutefois pas du meilleur album du groupe, loin de là. Nous sommes à des kilomètres des morceaux mythiques “Under Jolly Roger”, “Bad To The Bone” ou “Conquistadores”. Même le titre “The War” reluque dans la direction de “The Battle Of Waterloo” sans rivaliser avec ce chef d’œuvre.
