THE PYTHONS nous offre un Hard Rock orienté 80’s ni très original, ni très intéressant. On retrouve quelques influences provenant de groupes marquants de cette époque tels que MOTLEY CRUE, RATT ou POISON (pour le côté Rock’n Roll). On peut aussi trouver une certaine ressemblance du chant avec Dave Mustaine. Mais de ces parrains prestigieux, les Italiens n’ont pas retenu grand chose. On ne peut que constater l’enchaînement de titres de médiocre envergure n’offrant pas de réel intérêt. Ils poussent la chansonnette gentiment avec des morceaux qui ne feront pas mal à la tête côté construction et qui, par ailleurs, s’oublieront aussitôt. Pas évident d’être marqué par des riffs si convenus, ni d’être accroché par des refrains insipides. L’ensemble n’est pas lamentable non plus ; c’est juste qu’il n’y a pas suffisamment de qualités pour que l’on en tire quelque chose.
On peut toutefois féliciter le groupe pour la qualité de production d’un album auto-financé. Sur ce point le travail est extrêmement professionnel et de nombreux groupes hexagonaux pourrait en prendre exemple. Mais cela fait quand même peu de raisons de s’intéresser à ce groupe.
