annonce pour le groupe : son parfait, interprétation chirurgicale, feeling,… tout y est. Du coup, on chipote un peu : le son est un trop bon pour être honnête et l’on a vraiment le sentiment que la production a beaucoup retravaillé les bandes. A tel point que l’on finit par se demander si c’est bien un live ! Mais la prod’ a également travaillé dans le sens inverse : en exagérant la participation du public ; c’est criant sur l’intro de « Pleasure Palace » : pour résumé : on a le sentiment que le public n’est présent que sur ce titre ! Dès les premières notes de chaque intro : silence total dans la salle. Si l’on ajoute à cela que l’interprétation diffère très peu des versions studio, il faut vraiment se convaincre que c’est un live (heureusement que c’est marqué sur la pochette).
Comme toujours le choix des titres fera polémiquer les fans, disons que le groupe a privilégié les morceaux dynamiques ce qui est plutôt judicieux. On trouve aussi un inédit studio qui figurait sur le pressage japonais de The Power And The Myth.
Par son aspect un peu trop lisse, Live In The UK, n’est probablement pas aussi indispensable que les fans l’espéraient mais il recèle tout de même un bon paquet de perles.
