Première démo pour ce jeune groupe formé en avril 2006, et rentré en studio en juillet de la même année. On peut d’ors et déjà dire qu’ils savent ce qu’ils veulent ! Trois petits mois de préparation, ça c’est de la détermination. Et à l’écoute de ces quatre morceaux, on comprend qu’ils devaient déjà être sur la même longueur d’onde bien avant de se rencontrer.
De quoi s’agit-il ? J’aimerais assez dire qu’on a affaire à du rock, dans toute la noblesse du terme. C'est-à-dire aucune barrière pour limiter le répertoire, juste une envie de jouer, rien à prouver, si ce n’est qu’ils sont capable de donner du plaisir rien qu’en prenant leurs instruments. On pense à du QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, sans le coté vieux roublard de Holmes, du KYUSS en plus léger forcement, mais uniquement pour donner des repères, parce que leur musique n’a rien du plagiat. C’est agréable, et on se surprend à écouter cette démo plusieurs fois de suite, comme ça, parce qu’on l’aime.
Aucune prétention, et de plus cette démo jouit d’un son plus que correct, voire même meilleur que certaines grosses productions actuelles. La palme revient à « In The Name Of God », et ses recherches sonores, son petit coté noisy, mais le rythme syncopé de « Living Dead », accouplé à de savants et inquiétants arpèges à aussi de quoi surprendre, tel le VOIVOD de Angel Rat, l’aspect dru et direct de « Down » fait un peu penser à du STONES estampillé 2007, sans le maniérisme de Jagger, et avec un Keith Richards enfin libéré de ses démons.
En gros, ça joue, ça bout, ça provoque des remous, mais d’envie on reste debout. Alors bravo messieurs, et je l’espère, rendez vous très bientôt !
