Qu’est-ce qui vaut un bon gros uppercut dans la tronche ? Et bien, un concert d’Impaled Nazarene en Live durant presque 70 minutes fera parfaitement l’affaire ! Brutal, percutant, diabolique, tous les éléments sont joints pour faire de ce concert un des meilleur du genre.
Formé en 1990 en Finlande, la carrière d’Impaled Nazarene a trop longtemps été marqué par des changements de line-up au fil de leurs huit albums studios. Après avoir retrouvé un semblant de stabilité, le groupe finnois nous livre avec ce “Death Comes In 26 Carefully Selected Pieces” son premier album Live enregistré sur ses terres au Tavastia Club d’Helsinki le 19 décembre de l’an dernier.
Fort d’une discographie et une expérience plus que respectables, les cinq évangélisateurs du Brutal Punk Black pulvérisent tout sur leur passage lors de cette performance du tonnerre !
Déjà que sur albums, leurs morceaux sont de véritables hymnes à l’annihilation, mais là en concert, çà déménage sévère !
On a droit à un condensé de rage au travers des plus grands tubes du groupe, de la trempe de “Sadogoat”, “Total War-Winter War”, “Goat Perversion”, “Sadhu Satana”, “Motorpenis”, etc. Impressionnants de hargne et remplis de haine, les adeptes de la Bête apparemment motivés à 200% jouissent d’un son magistral, avec une basse puissante et claquante (un son que j’affectionne tout particulièrement, tâtant moi-même de la quatre cordes…)
Leur détonante combinaison de Black rageur accouplé à un Punk bourré aux amphétamines se révèle être parfaitement adaptée pour la scène, pas de doutes là dessus ! Une sorte de Motorhead de l’extrême, si je puis me permettre cette comparaison.
Un excellent exercice de style pour ceux ne sachant rien du répertoire de l’escadron finnois et qui ravira à coup sûr les fans les plus endurcis ainsi que les plus perplexes d’entre vous ! Une véritable tuerie !
