STRATOVARIUS, SONATA ARTICA gravitent dans votre univers musical ?
Eh! Bien, Kotipelto et Liimatainen vous invitent à un intime récital.
Avec l’album Blackoustic, incursion acoustique, bannie l’électrique.
Retrouvaille avec les deux compères du projet CAIN’S OFFERING de 2009,
A travers ces treize titres, pas d’originalité, rien de neuf.
Réminiscences de morceaux repris en chœur avec le public,
Qui sonnent encore aux oreilles de fans hystériques, mais bien sympathiques.
Timo et Jani, à l’aise dans cet exercice, nous ouvrent une parenthèse,
Illustrée de reprises nées de concerts en terre finlandaise.
Dépouillés sont les titres « Black Diamond », « Speed Of Light » et consorts.
Pour SONATA ARTICA, « My Selene » est à l’honneur, jamais on ne s’endort.
Et on retrouve sans surprise un échantillon choisi de classic rock.
Les accords de Jani sont fidèles, et la voix de Tomi, dans un registre ad’hoc.
Au sein de ces airs familiers, Jani nous a concocté une petite nouveauté
« Where My Rainbow End », et s’y greffe, en final, un air du folklore finlandais.
Reprise des WHO, de DEEP PURPLE, de RAINBOW, de GARY MOORE,
L’interprétation est fidèle, Timo et Jani n’ont pas apposé leur signature,
Et ça on peut le regretter, manque d’audace pour être un poil contre nature.
Belle invitation à réécouter les originaux, retour à nos premiers amours.
En résumé, Blackoustic, un album pour les fans, gage de fidélité, mais bien timoré.
