« Hum, Charal ! » Ah merde, je me suis gouré. Je reprends donc. SHARALL nous vient de la région PACA (j’en profite, elle n’a pas encore changé de nom). C’est un groupe formé en 2007 qui a enregistré en 2009 sa première démo contenant cinq titres. Naviguant entre Rock et Metal, c’est un groupe intrigant. Musicalement, cela ne réinvente pas la poudre. Cependant, le Rock emmené par une ligne de basse intéressante et entêtante de « Sarcophage », le côté plus Ambiant par moment sur « Alone » ou encore le riff abouti et inspiré de « Let Me Out » me font dire que le groupe possède une réelle capacité à composer des morceaux plus que corrects, fédérateurs et qui doivent prendre toute leur mesure lors des concerts. Non, ce qui m’a le plus dérangé dans SHARALL, c’est le chant de Tina. J’avoue ne pas savoir sur quel pied danser. Avec un nom comme le leur (et un titre comme « Kuhe »), on peut se demander si le groupe ne joue pas avec lui-même et avec l’auditeur grâce à une forte dose de dérision et d’autodérision. Dans ce cas, je pourrais tout à fait comprendre le délire dans lequel rentre la voix de Tina, qui part un peu dans tous les sens. Un délire à la LUCRATE MILK. Il restera quand même une ombre au tableau, cet accent à la Sarko (« sorry for ze time » !) à couper au couteau. Si par contre le groupe n’est pas dans cette optique délirante, alors la prestation de Tina ne cadre vraiment pas avec le reste. Surtout qu’elle n’est pas aussi surexcitée que le groupe le dit ; on aurait parfois plus l’impression de juste venir de la réveiller. A noter que la production n’est pas mauvaise pour une démo. On entend bien tous les instruments, avec une batterie peut-être un rien trop en retrait mais avec une basse bien présente et qui apporte beaucoup de groove à l’ensemble. SHARALL a encore à faire ses preuves, mais il y a quand même des idées encourageantes dans cette première démo.
