Ca blaste, ca éructe, ca cogne, ca arrache, ca laboure, ca gratte, ca matraque, ca bastonne, ca rosse, ca lacère, ca beugle, bref, Metal Impact vous informe que ce double CD est susceptible de heurter la sensibilité des plus jeunes et des non habitués au Grind.
Duo composé de Scott Hull aux guitares et à la boîte à rythme et de Jay Randall au chant (?) et à la programmation, AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED propose à travers ces 136 morceaux (rien que çà !) une sélection variée de changements de rythmes et de mélodies, des mid-tempos, des passages prog’, des solos, etc…
Mais, non, pas du tout, il s’agit là de Grindcore pur et dur, comme le faisait NAPALM DEATH en 1987 avec son mythique premier album Scum et ses 28 titres ! On peut d’ailleurs considérer qu’il s’agit là d’une sorte d’hommage de la part de ANB envers les Anglais qui initièrent un courant Métallique de toute beauté !
Sans parler des compositions originales du duo Hull/Randall, on retrouve également des reprises variées allant de VOIVOD à D.R.I. en passant par C.O.C. et bien évidemment de NAPALM DEATH.
Les deux galettes regroupent tout ce que le duo a enregistré, soit une discographie fastidieuse dont je m’épargnerai la douleur de citer ne serait-ce qu’un titre ! Car, sachez que le courage et la patience sont les maîtres mots ou (maux) pour parvenir à écouter les 136 morceaux de ces deux rondelles !
Titres extrêmes, Grind oblige et perpétuellement courts, frôlant les secondes ou bien allant tout de même à jouer plus d’une minute (une rareté !), cette discographie volume I qui transpire et sue le Grind par tous les pores saura conquérir les fans du genre. Par contre, si vous êtes allergiques à ce style particulier, ce double CD n’est pas à mettre dans vos mains, vous le regretteriez amèrement !
Attention : ce disque provoque des saignements de nez...
