Lord Nosferatu, usuellement connu sous le doux patronyme de Nattefrost, leader à ses heures du non moins célèbre combo norvégien de Carpathian Forest n’en est pas à son premier coup d’essai solo puisqu’il nous avait déjà gratifié de sa première incursion solo en 2003 avec le poétique et imagé « Blood & Vomit ».
Du coup, fort de ce premier succès, le nordique nous remet une couche (de vomi, de pisse ?) en rééditant sa formule favorite : un Black régressif, étroit d’esprit et ultra minimaliste. Honnies soit les limites, place à la décadence !
Aidé dans sa vile et putride mission par le batteur Dirge Rep (Enslaved, Gehenna), Carl Michael de Aura Noir/Dodheimsgard et de membres de Taake à la section rythmique, le trublion norvégien nous présente son nouveau méfait avec ce « Terrorist (Nekronaut Pt.I) ». Bénéficiant d’une pochette qu’un certain Varg Vikernes (Burzum) n’aurait pas renié, Nattefrost ne perd pas le nord et nous déclare la guerre avec le titre éponyme, soit un Black Punk speedé ouvrant le bal de manière fort soutenue. Et il en va de même avec les titres suivants avant que ne survienne « Merket For Helvete » et ses blast beats effrénés.
Nattefrost éructe dans tous les sens, balance un Black primitif et cradingue en tous points, lorgnant vers un net retour aux sources et faisant la part belle aux besoins les plus primaires. En disant cela, je pense au titre qui suit, à savoir un interlude du plus bon goût nommé « Eine Kleine Arschmuzik », sorte de pause pipi opérée par notre homme des cavernes préféré !
Arrive ensuite le non moins explicite « Catapultam Urinam philosophiam » dont il s’agit ici du second interlude, qui me fait penser à l’intro du morceau de Carnivore « Jack Daniel’s & Pizza » ! Amis poètes…
On enchaîne avec « Preteen Deathfuck », une introduction tout en finesse d’une femme gémissant de douleur, j’imagine en voyant le charmant visage de Nattefrost avec ses corpspaints.
Puis c’est le tour de la piste 12 et son nom à rallonge, une sorte de mid-tempo dans le genre Black’n Roll en penchant vers le Slow ! Assez insolite.
Et, on y est presque, on termine avec un morceau inutile, « The Death Of Nattefrost », longue descente aux enfers de plus de sept minutes ! Autant vous le dire, la dernière partie de l’album n’est vraiment pas très intéressante !
Du coup, on retiendra plus les travers scatologiques contenus dans cette rondelle au détriment des fines mélopées dont il est capable de nous sortir !! Je vous le dis, le gendre idéal, ce Nattefrost !
