A l'origine de Medication, on retrouve Logan Mader (ex-Machine Head, ex-Soulfly), rejoint ensuite par Whitfield Crane (ex-Ugly Kid Joe, ex-Life Of Agony) pour le noyau dur. Par la suite, divers musiciens connus tel Robert Trujillo (ex-Suicidal Tendencies, Ozzy Osbourne), Roy Mayorga (Soulfly) se sont succédés au sein du groupe faisant de Medication un sorte de super formation. Cet EP cinq titres est un aperçu du futur album "Prince Valium" prévu le 27 juin 2002.
"Something New" est son refrain accrocheur est tantôt heavy, tantôt lancinant et toujours emprunt de mélodie. L'ombre de Marylin Manson plane sur certaines parties d' "Under Water" et d' "Inside". Les vocaux de Whitfield Crane excellent sur les riffs acérés de Logan Mader. L'ex chanteur d'Ugly Kid Joe au fil de ses différentes participation à acquis l'expérience lui permettant aujourd'hui d'utiliser pleinement ses possibilités vocales. "Need To Never" propose un croisement contre nature, mélangeant riffs à la Black Sabbath et refrain punk rock. Les cinq titres de cet EP, après écoute vous reste en tête et ne vous quitte plus. La méthode est insidieuse mais efficace.
