La nouvelle mode est au live acoustique... alors KISS va en faire un ! Et comme le groupe ne fait pas les choses à moitié, cet album restera longtemps la meilleure vente dans la catégorie “MTV Unplugged”. Il faut dire que les négociations plus ou moins secrètes avec les membres originaux, Ace Frehley et Peter Criss, ont suscité la curiosité.
Là où KISS crée la surprise, c’est en reprenant beaucoup de morceaux méconnus, pas forcément folichons sur album mais qui, dans ce style particulier, prennent une nouvelle dimension.
Les fans de Rock acoustique ne peuvent qu’en raffoler.
