Si Jaron Sebastian Raven ne s’est pas foulé en trouvant le nom de son groupe, il a au moins cherché à annoncer clairement la couleur. Cette fois le concept pharaonique du premier album a été abandonné et, bien que le line-up ait été changé, la maîtrise des instruments reste totale. Comme c’est souvent le cas avec les bons musiciens, l’œuvre est démonstrative et il est difficile de ne pas penser à Malmsteen dans un genre où ce dernier à tant fait. Mais, étrangement, les parties de synthé sont beaucoup plus marquantes que les solos de guitares, ce qui constitue évidemment une différence notable. Les claviers de Michael Thomas – que n’aurait pas reniés Vitalij Kuprij - sont omniprésents sur cet album et, gage de son talent, nous ne sommes pas saoulés par cette omniprésence qui supplante les riffs. On a même le sentiment que c’est lui le vrai maître à bord.
Coté composition, tout tourne autour de la virtuosité enlevée par une rythmique rapide. Ce n’est pas toujours très inspiré, certains titres ont des ressemblances troublantes avec des créations existantes et l’on tombe parfois dans le poncif. Mais l’ensemble est agréable, il ne décevra donc pas les amateurs de ce style.
