Les bouches du RER ont laissé s’échapper un aliéné métallique, un O.V.N.I électrique. 23H17 rôde de façon fantomatique depuis le courant 2007 dans l’air parisien et risque fort de contaminer l’atmosphère hexagonale. Mirage (chant-basse) mène l’escadron de ses cordes rageuses vers une dimension chimérique. Style à part, de la fusion c’est tout net, mais avec cette particularité d’y avoir associé un DJ (Sam XXX).
Première piste, l’ombre menaçante s’installe et impose déjà une ambiance bien glauque, les rouages du temps sont suspendus. Nous sommes le 23 novembre 2010, il est 17 heure précise, le premier œuf mutant de l’escadrille éclot officiellement. « Vice Et Versa » vient générer au rythme des mixes de monsieur Sam XXX (DJ/Back Vocal) une poésie urbaine faite d’une constatation humaine réaliste. Les riffs bien lourds soutiennent le chant de la princesse obscure et de son bataillon de street-démons.
Le Rap prenant une place certaine dans la mélodie, il se marie toutefois magnifiquement bien avec une cadence appuyée sur chaque épreuve, à l’image par exemple de « Cadillac ».
La nonchalance de « Zone 51 » s’entame au fin fond du rêve enfantin d’une vieille boîte à musique rouillée, nous déstabilisant par cette lugubre sonorité grinçante telle une diablesse griffant lentement sa nouvelle victime de manière sadique. D’ailleurs l’horreur prendra toute sa dimension sur l’interlude qui suit, une scène d’un atroce carnage avec des hurlements pour notes principales.
« Sentiment » va dévoiler un chant plus souple et vaporeux, serait-ce le bien qui se dresse devant le mal ? Même la composition rappelle un bon Sludge aux accents Doomesques, une douce candeur au milieu d’un univers où l’agressivité côtoie avec aisance la volupté.
Des intermèdes ponctuent joliment l’opus, comme une bouffée d’air plus sain dans ce gouffre angoissant. Leur amour pour les musiques de films se sent d’ailleurs aisément sur chacun d’entre eux.
Ahhhhh, automutilation, quand tu nous tiens !!! Sont-ils les spectres d’une ivresse douloureuse ? Ou juste l’errance d’une torture dissimulée ? Moi en tout cas je me serais bien surprise à me scarifier le corps à l’aide de leur disque. Bon, sans rire, il faut bien avouer que le climat ici présent n’est pas au festif mais l’agressivité y est maîtrisée et habilement mise en musique par le quatuor. Je vous parlais quelques lignes plus haut de sadisme et bien derrière un sourire se cache parfois la manipulation et l’attention du combo agira hypnotiquement sur quiconque se laissera bercer par ses notes. BOUUUUUUH ! Tu as peur hein ??? Eh bien tu peux.
