Dimanche soir, on se sent un peu morose, on reprend le boulot à 7h30 le lendemain matin, pas la joie quoi… On a beau regarder la télé, cela ne fait qu’ajouter à cette espèce de semi tristesse, le blues de fin de week-end… Et puis on se dit qu’on a encore plein de Cds à chroniquer, et qu’il serait de bon ton d’en faire au moins un ce soir.
On en prend un au pif, et hop, on le fourre dans son mange-disques, et là, on prend une grosse beigne dans la face !!!
Quelle joie, quel bonheur que de sentir ses petons s’agiter aux doux sons d’hymnes teenage ! Quel délice de se sentir crétin pendant 45 minutes, de dodeliner de la tête comme un abruti, parce qu’on vient de tomber sur une perle Rock n’Roll !!!
Alors oui, les BACKYARD BABIES sont suédois, et là bas il caille grave la moitié de l’année, mais ça ne les empêche pas de nous réchauffer à grands coups de riffs crasseux et de rythmiques ténues !
Ca commence fort avec le premier des titres à chanter le poing levé, « Fuck Off And Die », et tout est dit ! Le fun léger le dispute à un refrain imparable qui va faire peter les cotillons live ! On se dit que c’est trop beau, et qu’ils ne l’ont pas placé là par hasard !
Le crossover HANOÏ ROCKS/POISON/TIGERTAILZ marche encore à plein régime sur « Degenerated », et on n’a aucun mal à croire en la parole de ces dégénérés !
Mais ça n’est rien comparé à la putain d’énergie Power Pop de « Come Undone » qui incendie la robe de chambre de ta grand-mère pendant que ton vieux essaie de rentrer le manche à balai en entier dans le cul du chat qui n’en demandait pas tant !
Et pendant qu’il se frotte le fion sur la brosse qui dépasse encore du fondement de ce pauvre félin, toi tu continue de t’éclater au son de « Drool », plus punky et catchy que l’intégrale de FASTER PUSSYCAT, et tu enchaînes avec l’énorme « Abandon », et ses fausses guitares sèches d’intro, qui explosent sur un chorus d’enfer, plus chaud que les mules de ton grand-père !
Mélodies, puissance, tout y est, et ça prend des airs de véritable festival ininterrompu, puisque « Voodoo Love Bow » et son discret piano bastringue ne laissent aucun répit. La voix nasillarde à la Taime Downe tourne à plein régime, et les grattes s’en donnent à cœur joie pour tricoter un vieux Sleaze des familles !
Et la pause c’est pour plus tard, parce qu’ « Idiots » balance la sauce et t’élime un peu plus ce qu’il te reste d’os ! Mon Dieu ce refrain !!
Je pourrais continuer encore une bonne centaine de lignes, mais il serait dommage de vous gâcher la surprise en révélant tout de l’album.
Tout ce que je peux dire, c’est que si vous êtes encore à la recherche de la petite pépite Glam, n’allez pas plus loin, vous l’avez trouvée !!!
Les BACKYARD BABIES savent qu’ils ne révolutionneront pas la musique, et ils s’en branlent ! Ils sont juste là pour foutre le bordel avec leurs chansons truffées de Rn’R et de pop, alchimie parfaite pour faire la fête jusqu’à ce que la nuit s’arrête !!!
Oh et puis merde, je m’en remets un coup tiens !
