Quand un ex VULCAIN rencontre un ex H-BOMB, que peuvent-ils bien se raconter ? Voyons…
Vous hésitez ?? Mais des histoires de Rock’n’Roll bien sur ! Qu’attendiez vous d’autre de la part du sieur PUZIO qui pendant des années nous à fait partager son amour pour cette musique simple qui réchauffe le cœur. Plus trop de nouvelles de sa part depuis le split de VULCAIN, mais Daniel revient nous porter la bonne parole, sa Les Paul en bandoulière, et Dieu qu’il parle bien !
Avec un blaze comme Mr JACK, les fans étaient en droit d’attendre un produit sec, nerveux, mais brûlant au palais, et c’est exactement le cocktail proposé par les deux compères (sans oublier bien sur Philty GARCIA!).
Alors bien évidemment, je vois déjà les détracteurs armer leur chevrotine avec comme argument « wah l’autre, il fait que rejouer toujours la même chose depuis 27 ans ! », mais tout d’abord c’est faux, et quand bien même, lorsque l’intention est pure et louable, comment le condamner !
Auriez-vous déjà oublié « L’enfer », « 22 », « Sophie » ou autres « Fuck The Police » ?
Non bien sur…mais force est d’admettre que l’ancienne influence MOTORHEAD s’est complètement estompée pour laisser place à des racines plus binaires.
En témoigne l’excellentissime « Comme Tu Me Manques », aux vieux relents de « The Jack », ou encore « Duf Car » et son riff épais qui témoigne que les musiciens ont quand même de la bouteille et qu’on ne leur en raconte pas question puissance !
Le titre éponyme danse à peu près dans les même pas et la voix de Daniel a toujours la même hargne sur des textes plutôt fun comparés à son ancien groupe. Les soli sont aussi au dessus de tout soupçons, mais question feeling, le Danny ne craint personne !
Le Heavy bon crû n’est pas absent non plus, et « Le Doctor » est la pour nous rappeler, avec sa combinaison de riffs d’acier et d’arpèges légers.
Le tout se termine de la meilleure façon qui soit, avec une profession de foi, le « Jack’n’Roll », qui clôt les débats comme ils avaient commencé, sur les chapeaux de roue, et la Gibson en feu !
Alors, que dire ??? Que Daniel à raison de s’accrocher et que l’apport de Jay Jay à su donner à son Rn’R un côté métallique de bon aloi, que la route est loin d’être finie pour les vieux briscards, et que finalement, si presque 30 ans après, on retrouve toujours les mêmes, c’est qu’il y a une raison…
Alors, laissez la nostalgie au placard et jetez vous sur ce Jack n’Roll, si vous souhaitez passer un bon moment, parce que la sincérité et l’efficacité seront toujours d’actualité !!!
