Il faut que je l’avoue tout de go, je n’ai jamais eu l’occasion d’écouter une chose comme Seepia. Hein ? Non, ce n’est pas là, pour une fois, un compliment. Je m’explique. J’ai eu l’impression de passer une demi-heure les esgourdes remplies d’une merde puante et nauséabonde de laquelle je n’arrivais pas à extraire la moindre parcelle de musique. Parce qu’on peut faire la musique la plus brutale, explicite, vulgaire, repoussante, radicale, sans concession, décalée, horrifique, malsaine et j’en passe, cela doit quand même rester de la musique. Or là, tout ce que m’a montré PORTAL, c’est qu’ils savaient faire un disque où on entend du bruit, rien que du bruit. Cela aurait été mon aspirateur qui tournait en boucle que cela aurait eu le même effet. Non, je pense que j’aurai mieux apprécié mon aspirateur. Alors, je n’ai peut-être pas le feeling ou le bagage nécessaire pour apprécier ce genre de groupe, peut-être, mais il n’en reste pas moins que je ne sais pas ce que j’ai écouté. Je suis complètement incapable d’isoler la moindre chose audible dont je pourrais parler. Même le gamin le plus fauché avec le matériel le plus misérable sera capable de sortir une démo dont on pourrait en retirer plus. Et pourtant, elles sont chiées à la pelle les démos au son pourri. Mais là, ça dépasse tout, ça joue dans une autre division, que dis-je ?, c’est même pas dans la même galaxie tellement c’est hors concours.
