Les Italiens, non contents d’être champions du monde de foot, nous balancent maintenant à la gueule leurs groupes de Deathcore. Et il faut admettre que dans cette discipline, ils se débrouillent plus que bien aussi. En étant tout de même moins comédiens (ah, la Commedia Dell’Arte…).
Quid donc de STIGMA, et de sa furie à base de mort, zombies et autres vampires ? Et bien, ça part dans tous les sens, avec cette dose de folie qu’on retrouve chez les vrais flingués, le tout enrobé dans un nappage très carré, parsemé de cris en tous genres, d’accélérations brutales et de riffs solides.
Imaginez un CALLENISH CIRCLE après un passage chez George A ROMERO, ou bien AT THE GATES travaillant pour la Umbrella Corporation, et vous approcherez de la vérité proposée par STIGMA.
Les morceaux forts ne manquent pas, du très IMPALED NAZARENE « I Am Dracula » et sa vitesse de croisière brisée par des breaks lourds, au méchamment Thrash « To Be Really Dead…That Must Be Glorious », et ses harmonies bienvenues, en passant par les contretemps hargneux de « Beneath The Growl Of Eternal Light », et son tempo variant d’une seconde à l’autre.
La hargne prédomine, et le point marquant de cet album reste la voix incroyablement vindicative de Stefano « Vlad » Ghersi qui vomit littéralement sa bile sur le politiquement correct.
Et si en plus je vous dis que les paroles sont à la hauteur de l’interprétation, et que la prod est au dessus de tout soupçon, vous comprendrez de vous-même que l’achat devient indispensable.
Manquerait plus que les Italiens décident d’adapter leur jeu sur le terrain à la musique de STIGMA, et là, on a plus qu’à aller se rhabiller avant d’être bouffés tout crus !
Et c’est pas un coup de boule qui va régler le problème !
