Dark Poetry, français nous venant de Dordogne (Bergerac) qui, après deux démos nous présente leur premier album aux influences variées, ce qui développe une musique riche en contraste.
En effet, Dark Poetry mélange les styles pour nous offrir 42 minutes de rage intense. Le Death Metal domine mais il est agrémenté principalement par du Power ainsi que par quelques touches de Hardcore, de Black et de Thrash. Le tout est très aéré car pas mal de break ou autres mélodies viennent agrèmenter les titres. Tantôt lourdes et parfois rapides, ces mélodies vivantes s'enchaînent avec vaillance et sont la base de cet albumen dehors bien sûr de ses textes sombres.
Même si la production n'est pas flamboyante, Dark Poetry s'en sort très bien et démontre son talent à nous faire taper du pied ou secouer la tête et ce, grâce à sa musique qui est finalement assez groovy.
