« Ah oui, je vois, de sérieuses références…Bon, voila. Je ne peux décemment croire que Thrash You ! a été enregistré en 2007, et plusieurs éléments incontestables étayent mon développement. Tout d’abord, les influences du groupe appartiennent toutes au passé. De forts relents de BLIND GUARDIAN, époque Follow The Blind, un zeste de TESTAMENT, version The New Order, et une pincée de FORBIDDEN, début de carrière. Les textes évoquent aussi les grandes heures de la Bay Area, et si je me souviens bien, le sud de Hessen est plutôt en Allemagne. Quand aux licks de guitare, pas d’équivoque possible, l’affiliation avec HELLOWEEN n’est pas discutable. La seule chose qui me fasse douter un chouïa, c’est le son, terriblement contemporain. Alors docteur, qu’en pensez vous ? »
« Je dois avouer que tous les éléments que vous m’apportez convergent tous dans la même direction, mais une dernière question, y’a-t-il une similitude quasi mimétique entre les morceaux ? »
« Tout à fait, et c’est certainement le plus troublant dans l’affaire. Aucune influence moderne, alternance permanente entre passage Heavy, accélérations Thrash, et chœurs guerriers ! »
« Bon, le diagnostic devient alors un jeu d’enfant. Je pense qu’ABANDONED est constitué de musiciens ayant été cryogénisés en 1987, et récemment libérés de leur prison de froid. De ce fait, et ayant été préservés de toute évolution musicale depuis 20 ans, ils pratiquent la seule musique qu’ils connaissent. Le Thrash-Metal. »
« C’est assez amusant, parce que même après une telle période d’isolation forcée, ils parviennent quand même à être plus intéressants que 80% de la production actuelle docteur ! »
