Une petite démo tout ce qu’il y a de plus sympa pour finir une journée pluvieuse, ça redonne un peu le moral ! Même si ce démo-CD date de l’année dernière, mieux vaut tard que jamais ! Qui plus est, rien que du positif à dire sur ce groupe qui a su mettre bien des atouts de son coté. Tout d’abord, un son clair et puissant mettant bien en relief les qualités des musiciens, surtout du bassiste qui affiche une technicité et une recherche d’originalité bienvenues ! Le quatuor pratique un heavy fortement teinté de néo-thrash, ce qui n’est pas un gros mot, qui les rapprocherait d’un NEVERMORE en moins violent, ou comme le précise la bio, d’un ICED EARTH de bon niveau.
Les quatre titres sont de valeur égale, parsemés de breaks aérés, d’une rythmique de plomb associée à des lignes de basses volubiles, quant au guitariste, il offre des soli de fort bonne facture. Les deux seuls petits reproches que je pourrais faire sont l’accent anglais du chanteur qui laisse encore à désirer, et les textes écrits dans un style assez naïf et générique, n’offrant pas le renforcement d’identité nécessaire à une démarcation indispensable à tout jeune combo.
Cela dit, ce ne sont que des critiques mineures, tant l’écoute de «A Thousand Voices » m’a enchanté. Bon courage messieurs, bravo à vous (mention spéciale quand même à Lionel !), et au plaisir de vous voir sur les routes très bientôt !
