Il fut un temps où les groupes français faisaient pitié. Pochettes moches, musique insipide, pseudos à pleurer de rire, le tout calqué sur un modèle anglo-saxon non exempt de responsabilité bassement mercantile. Le chant en anglais évoquait plus un Jacques Delors fin saoul à la tribune européenne, qu’un acteur shakespearien en répétition de MacBeth. Cette période n’est plus, Dieu merci. Aujourd’hui, les groupes nationaux sont compétitifs, originaux et volontaires (DSK !!!).
Prenez GRYMT (please pronounce GRÜMPTE !), qui signifie méchant en suédois. En écoutant leur disque, je n’ai pas pensé à un parent pauvre de NAPALM DEATH, ou un cousin handicapé de MORTICIAN, mais bien à un membre français de la famille Grind, branche certes bâtarde, mais au combien fertile de la scène extrême du Metal. Le son est épais, le rythme effréné, le chanteur possédé. Arf, alléchant n’est il point ? Oui, c’est un fait. Ca balance sec vers un BRUTAL TRUTH survitaminé, comme si Dan Lilker avait trempé des petits LU radioactifs dans sa chicorée au gasoil. L’énoncé des titres fait rêver. Me permettez vous une petite traduction, pour l’amour de la formule ? Merci, « Chie et Baise », « Incestueux comme les Vers », « Sauvetage Phallique », « Lobotomie dans la Salle de Répète », tout cela fleure bon la provoc au sixième degré, et n’est matière qu’à un enthousiasme sans bornes en ce début d’année morne. « Red Angel On Fire » (de quoi parlent ils ??) est apocalyptique, « Phallic Salvation » serait presque assez rock pour bercer votre petite sœur fan de M Pokora contre une planche à clous enduite de saindoux, « Burning Whore » ferait passer une 1300 CC pour une vulgaire voiture à pédales, option autocollant « J’aime les rennes » en sus, et « We, The Evil Gods » ressemble à une version bubonique de Virus Cannibale, avec zombies mangeurs de Chocapic, et blondasse fadasse passée à la moulinette CARCASS d’une tribu Bantou en pleine orgie sacrificielle.
On n’écoute pas GRYMT, on vit le délire à fond, et c’est comme ça. Il est bon de voir certains groupes passer le cap de la crédibilité à tout prix pour se vautrer dans le stupre gluant de la déliquescence mélodique. Un side project en forme d’exutoire (le batteur d’AqME fait partie de la famille), une autopsie au couteau de boucher et à la scie égoïne. Ta mère qui passe l’aspirateur en jogging avec le bassiste de SLIPKNOT. J’emmerde les séries télé ou tout le monde est content. Ici, ça pue, ça suinte, et tu ressors tout éclaboussé de merde. Méchant en suédois je vous ai dit !!!
