Parfois, au détour d’une chronique, on tombe sur l’album correspondant parfaitement à l’humeur du moment. Une journée pourrie, un temps infect, à moitié malade, entraînant un état d’esprit revanchard, ce qui nécessite bien sur une bonne dose de haine sonore, le truc pas cher mais qui défoule. Ben là, c’est nif. Suis tombé pile. Cela dit, avec comme étendard un label comme Bones Brigade, y’avait pas photo. Pas réputés pour balancer du hard-fm comme Arthur les boites à pognon. Alors COLLISION qu’on nous dit. Roadkiller. J’ai jamais rencontré un flingué parcourant les routes pour dégommer du piéton, mais ça doit pas être loin.
En tout cas, c’est l’album de Grind comme on les aime. Sur, c’est pas du Ronsard. Rien que le refrain du premier méfait « Oh My Goth », donne le ton : « Having trouble making friends ? Oh my goth! A Marilyn fan until the end ? Oh my goth! ». Le deuxième morceau nous invite à partir au sud des Etats-Unis si le manque d’affection se fait trop sentir, parait que les bouseuses sont chaudes! Et je vous en passe et des meilleures…
Moins extrémistes textuellement que GRONIBARD, recherchant plus volontiers le gag gras que la provoc facile, COLLISION ne s’en trouve que plus attachant. A aucun moment on ne tombe dans la farce auditive, la gaudriole systématique, les gars sont plus portés sur le potache qui tâche. Et on adore. Musicalement, ça respecte bien évidemment les préceptes du dieu Grind, évangile selon St Unseen Terror, en conservant quelques touches dignes de OLD LADY DRIVERS, période premier album, le meilleur. Ca n’a aucune prétention, si ce n’est celle de vous éclater, et le but est atteint sans problèmes. La preuve, je l’ai écouté deux fois de suite sans m’en rendre compte ! La durée est raisonnable pour un album de ce type, ce qui en fait un produit tout à fait recommandable. Et puis, c’est tellement plus cool que de voir à quel moment va partir la boite à 500.000 euros…
