Dés que l’on voit la pochette de Lifeblood, on imagine que BLACKSHINE ne va pas donner dans le Doom ou le Prog’… Un squelette enflammé de cuir vêtu, qui vous accueille avec un gros doigt. Ca sent la bière, la transpiration et le bon gros Death and roll !
Troisième label pour son troisième album, la bande à Anders Strokirk (guitare et chant) a enfin trouvé ses marques et livre 11 titres qui se révèlent plutôt efficaces et agréables à l’écoute. Le groupe évolue dans un Death Suédois, entre THE HAUNTED et IN FLAMES. Mais tout cela est un brin réducteur car les compos ont toutes ce petit truc personnel qui permet de différencier BLACKSHINE de ses concurrents. Chaque chanson est bien burnée avec des riffs et des refrains accrocheurs. Les musiciens s’efforcent en plus de varier les ambiances en proposant des passages instrumentaux intéressants (« Denial Of Pain » qui clôt l’album est excellente).
Autant Lifeblood m’a plu dés la première écoute, autant il ne va pas retourner dans mon lecteur cd tout de suite. La musique n’est pas des plus originale et après une écoute attentive, on se rend compte que certains refrains se ressemblent étrangement. On rentre facilement dedans mais il n’y a pas assez de matière pour y rester bien longtemps (en même temps, en une grosse demi-heure…).
Lifeblood reste un bon disque de Metal, pas forcément ultra-original mais ce n’est pas ce qu’on leur demande. Alors suivez leur conseil : prenez une bière, montez le volume et videz-vous l’esprit. De temps en temps ça fait pas de mal…
