Pour ce second album, les Allemands de GALLOGLASS n’ont pas changé grand chose à leur orientation musicale. On y retrouve tous les penchants déjà observés sur Legends From Now And Nevermore. C’est-à-dire un Power Metal archi conventionnel allant puiser par-ci par là dans tout ce qu’on a déjà entendu en Allemagne ou ailleurs : une double grosse-caisse qui s’emballe, des riffs assez classiques, un chant qui ne refuse pas quelques incartades dans les aiguës.
Aucune originalité donc, et même beaucoup de passages franchement prévisibles, mais une exécution très propre et une efficacité indéniable qui positionne GALLOGLASS dans le haut du panier. Les amateurs de Power et de Speed mélodique n’ont aucune chance d’être déçu par Heavenseeker qui répond parfaitement au cahier des charges.
Certains morceaux sortent légèrement du lot ; c’est le cas de “After Forever” qui bénéficient de passages orchestrés très convaincants ainsi que d’apparitions de chant Black qui viennent apporter un peu de relief à cet album. La power ballade “Kings Who Die” bénéficie également d’une construction intéressante.
Un album de plus ? Oui, mais un bon.
