(Set List de KEEP OF KASLLESIN: The Wealth of Darkness, Crown of the Kings, As Mist Lay Silent Beneath, Winged Watcher, Come Damnation)
(Set List de SATYRICON: The Pentagram Burns, Woods to Eternity, Now, Diabolical, Possessed, K.I.N.G, Walk the Path of Sorrow, Supersonic Journey, Repined Bastard Nation, Forhekset, Fuel for Hatred, Rite of Our Cross, Dominions of Satyricon, Mother North.)

Frost. Enchanté de te rencontrer! On va se dépêcher alors !

MI.

MI. As tu autre chose à dire aux fans ?
Frost.

Frost. Merci à toi aussi!

On gloomy, rainy, boring Wednesday in Ljubljana (Slovenia) a crowd of "blackmetalers" was impatiently anticipating the hardly awaited concert of Black Metal legends - SATYRICON. Since both of the supporting bands had to deal with some problems that have occurred in their bus engine, the concert started a little bit later then expected. That enfired already nervous and euphoric crowd of people.
(SATYRICON should play on this year's Metalcamp but unfortunately because of some supernatural reasons they failed to do so. That's why fans in Slovenia expected much from them).
The first band - INSOMNIUM the Finnish melodic mixture of Black and Death Metal suffered from "badsound" disease, but they've fixed that problem. Otherwise they were interesting and their show was great. They actually had some interactions with the crowd and by that they had broken "The curse of Stiffness". The reaction of the fans was good and the band was satisfied by that fact.
KEEP OF KALLESIN presented their new album Armada and they did it amazingly. Vyl's drumming was insane, "Necro" Thebian was screaming his painful screams. They have enchanted us with their evil, diabolical atmosphere.
(Keep Of Kasllesin set list: The Wealth of Darkness, Crown of the Kings, As Mist Lay Silent Beneath, Winged Watcher, Come Damnation)
And finally the headliners were on the stage. The sound was fantastic (their soundmaster did a great job...again). The opening song was "The pentagram burns", which appeared to be a great choice. Mr Frost-the greatest drummer in Black Metal scene ever was the great attraction. SATYRICON shows are worth of seeing just because of his innovative drumming. The frontman, Mr Satyr was acting like the real frontmen do by showing his gratitude to everyone's presence. He also has a great sense of humor and that big true Metal heart. The setlist worked out well and it satisfied the audience. In the end they made that long break beetwen the show and the extra songs...that's why "Mother North" sounded even better. I think that I will always remember how all fans sang riffs together as one. I think that every casual "blackmetaler" needs to attend a concert like that.
This concert is a proof that Master Of Metal staff (organisators of MetalCamp) knows how to deal with organisation of "Big" concerts. Great job guys!
(Satyricon set list: The Pentagram Burns, Woods to Eternity, Now, Diabolical, Possessed, K.I.N.G, Walk the Path of Sorrow, Supersonic Journey, Repined Bastard Nation, Forhekset, Fuel for Hatred, Rite of Our Cross, Dominions of Satyricon, Mother North.)

The priority of my work was to do the interview with one of Satyricon band members, but things don't always work out the way we want them to. A lot of unexpected circumstances mixed together and that led to some consequences. In the end I got to talk with Mr Frost and the interview lasted only for about five minutes.

Metal-Impact. Hi, how are you?
Frost. Hello..well I'm fine...just came from the soundcheck.

MI. I hope you are not too tired then. My name is Sanela and I am woring for French metal webzine: Metal-Impact. If I understood correctly we have only five minutes to do this interview.
Frost. Nice to meet you! Then we have to hurry up.

MI. Yes..kind of. Last week I read a book written by a Roman writer Petronii Arbitri and it's title was Satyricon. I was wondering who got the idea for the band's name? Where did you find the inspiration for it?
Frost. The band's name changed few times since the beginning. When the name changed to Satyricon neither I nor Satyr were in the band...so we don't really know why they have chosen it and where this name had been taken from but I assume that Petronii Arbitri's book had something to do with it. I know that the name changed because the style of the music they played changed as well. And then Satyr joined.....His nickname is pretty similar to band's name and I think that's pretty cool.

MI. "Now, Diabolical" is a very different album from what we were used to listen from Satyricon. If you had to decide, which musical style would you prefer : the one you used 10 years ago or the new one?
Frost. Definitely the new one...I mean we are doing this with heart and that, I believe, can be heard. We are putting 100% of ourselves into this music. That doesn't mean that we have forgotten about our past. I am proud of it and I love it..but that already happened. We are human beings which are (just as every normal human being does) changing and developing our personalities with the time. I think this development reflects in the music we are making. It would be funny if we stayed on the same level through all our history.

MI. You worked with lots of well known artists. How come things mostly worked out fine? Do you always get well on with those people?
Frost. The people I worked with were mostly the people I had known from the past..or have even been friends with. I've done a lot of different projects with variety of people and it always worked out fine because we helped each other to express what we wanted. And if you have that in your mind, there's no way for the things to go wrong. But still you need to be interested in the stuff you are working on otherwise you become impatient and you want to include ideas which have nothing to do with main musical theme.

MI. Do you have any other messages for your fans?
Frost. Thank you for your support through all those years!

MI. I'm afraid our time ran out. Thank you!
Frost. Thank you!
